Partyin

This past week was a good one and it zipped by so fast!  Justin's little brother Johnathan was here with us until this last Wednesday.  We had a great time with him and Dylan loved having a little buddy to play with and push him around in his little tikes car.  The last day he was here with us Kylie, one of Justin's cousins, came to hang out and of course Dylan had a blast with them.

Most days lately I spend home with Dylan which is such a blessing.  I always wanted to be able to be home with my kids and not have to leave them with anyone else.  Justin has made this possible for me and I am so grateful.  Dylan is such a happy and energetic baby and finds so much excitement in everything around him.  His favorite things to do right now are chasing balls around the house and playing with his car and trucks.  He makes a cute little gurgling sound in his throat, attempting to make the sound of an engine revving  whenever he plays with the car and trucks.  He also loves when I read his favorite book, Baby Touch and Feel Bedtime.  There are little pieces of fabric attached to the pictures and he loves to run his hand back and forth across the different textures.  He smiles and giggles to himself with each page I turn.  He is too much fun.  I love this sweet little boy.

A few days ago we visited with a family from church and they showed us their new little puppies and Dylan loved them!

On Saturday most of us out here on the ranch all got together for an intense soccer game on the soccer court that Justin and Tyler made.  They smoothed out the ground and added goals on either side.  Dylan and Enoc played and cheered us on for a while on the sidelines until they got restless and wanted to come join in on the game.  We had such an awesome time and not to mention a great workout!

This was the warm up round.  I was so into the game by the time everyone got there that I didn't think to take a picture of all the action!

The sunset that night was beautiful.  One thing that I really love out here is how beautiful and open the sky is.

Justin's Uncle Franco's Birthday was on Sunday and he turned the big 50!!!  We went to celebrate at Aunt Molli and Uncle Franco's place that night.  There was lots of good food and a large group of friends and family who came along to party!

Diego was the man in charge that night to give Franco a break on his big day.  He welcomed everyone and shared some words about his father and what a great guy he is.
Dylan was obsessed with all the balloons!
Sweet little Eden sleeping on Kaylee's lap

Dylan was entertaining everyone with every little goofy face he makes and of course he was excited to be with his Grumpy as usual.

Dylan was pretty excited when he came across two eggs during the "Easter egg hunt" for the kiddos.

Raquel is always super creative and wrote down quotes of things that Franco says a lot and then had them folded up in each Easter egg that the kids had found.  This is Molli reading one of the quotes.

Present time!

He got the boom box he's always wanted!

Molli and Franco are some of the best people I know.  Their home is always open to anyone and they are always willing to help or give to anyone that may need it.  They are amazing!

Newbie...

I am totally new to the blogging world and I've secretly been wanting to start one for the longest time but just haven't gotten around to it.  I love looking at peoples' blogs and reading their awesome stories and looking at beautiful pictures that go along with those stories.  Hey, I figure I'll try it out!  Here it goes...

Yesterday, which happened to be Presidents day, we decided to take a little family four wheeling trip up the Florida Mountains here in Deming, NM.  Justin mentioned that there was a neat old abandoned cabin that we could four wheel up to and check out. Tyler and Johnathan, Justin's two awesome younger brothers, came along with us.  We packed everything up early in the morning and took off to make sure we had plenty of time to roam around.  The only problem when we got there was that is was a little more chilly and windy than we had anticipated.  The roads also ended up being a little too rocky and crazy for me to maneuver the four wheeler, while at the same time holding little Dylan. He seemed a little nervous on the ride up (not to mention I was super tense and nervous myself worrying he could get hurt!) so we didn't go too long before turning back but we still had a great time!

Luckily we came across an old abandoned little stone house that we were able to walk around and take pictures in before we ended our trip.  There was an awesome fire pit on the inside of the house and I thought it would be awesome to come back sometime to build a fire, roast marshmallows, and tell stories; or at least something along those lines.

Later on that night we had an awesome cook out at Aunt Molli's place out next to the basketball court.  I always love their family gatherings and how much they enjoy to spend time together.  It makes me think of my family back in Utah and all of the fun family get togethers we would have.  I miss that... I'm so grateful to have inherited such a wonderful family out here who always help me to feel so much at home while I've been far away from my own family.  They are amazing!
